📚 Channel Studio Help

How to run your YouTube channel — connect it, review videos, grow it, and put it on autopilot.

📖 Or browse written answers
What is Channel Studio?
Channel Studio is the home for everything about YOUR YouTube channel(s) — as opposed to the main app, which is for making videos. Here you review uploaded videos, get AI growth tools, schedule Auto-Pilot uploads, see the best time to post, and check performance. It opens in its own window so you can keep it open alongside the main video-creation app.
How do I connect my YouTube channel?
Go to Profile (in the main app) → "Connect YouTube Channel" → sign in with the Google account that owns the channel and grant upload permission. Your channel's videos and stats then appear in My Channel within about 60 seconds.
I don't have a channel yet — how do I create one?
Use "Open a Channel" from the main app's Help launcher, or go directly to /channel/new. It's a 5-step wizard: pick a niche and content direction, then the AI generates a channel name, description and logo for you. Once created, it shows up here in Channel Studio and can be connected to a real YouTube channel whenever you're ready to upload.
Why does my YouTube show the wrong channel?
Each account is tied to one YouTube connection at a time. If you signed in with a different Google account in another tab, the session got overwritten. Sign out fully in the main app and sign back in with the original email — your channel comes back.
What can I do on "My Channel"?
Every video you've created appears here — click one to open its detail page. From there you can watch it, see its title/description, check if it's uploaded, and (if you're not happy with it) regenerate specific parts instead of starting over.
Can I regenerate just one part of a video?
Yes — on a video's detail page: Regenerate Title & Description (fast, cheap), Regenerate Images (pick one specific scene to redo, or all of them), or a Full regenerate with feedback (tell the AI what was wrong and it rebuilds the video). This is almost always cheaper and faster than making a brand-new video from scratch.
What is "Franchise"?
One-click channel cloning: pick a channel that's working, click 🚀 Franchise, choose a new niche, and it spins up a sibling channel with the same character, art style and voice — so you don't have to rebuild a winning look from scratch every time you branch into a new topic. Found on a channel's own page and on the Leaderboard.
What is the Leaderboard, and what does "opt-in" mean?
The Leaderboard ranks channels within a niche by their average retention — entirely opt-in: a channel only appears if you explicitly turn on "Show on Leaderboard" for it (needs at least 3 analyzed videos). Turning it on shows your channel's name and average retention publicly; you can turn it off anytime. Other creators can "Remix" your niche + content style (never your actual script or title) into their own video.
What tools does Growth Studio have?
Eight AI tools, each a tab at the top of the page:
🎯 Title Optimizer (3⚡) — rewrites a title to be more clickable.
🪝 Hook Generator (4⚡) — 5 opening-line hooks for a topic, so the first 3 seconds land.
📝 Description + SEO (4⚡) — a keyword-optimized description + tags for a finished title.
🔥 Trending Topics (5⚡) — what's currently trending in your niche, as video ideas.
Competitor (10⚡) — analyzes another channel's recent uploads for what's working for them.
Best Time (8⚡) — analyzes YOUR channel's own upload history for your best posting slot (different from the free general heatmap under Best Time to Post in the sidebar — that one is niche-based, not tied to your specific channel).
🧠 AI Coach (2⚡/question) — a chat that knows your channel and answers growth questions.
💬 Audience Requests (5⚡) — scans your own videos' comments for recurring questions/requests and turns them into ready-made video topics. If it finds nothing to analyze, you're refunded automatically.
What is Channel Analyzer?
A deeper analytics view of any YouTube channel (yours or a competitor's) — paste a channel URL/handle to see its recent video performance, upload cadence and content patterns. Requires a Pro or Business plan.
What is Auto-Pilot?
Set-and-forget scheduled uploads for Business-tier accounts. Pick a niche, video format, days of the week and a time slot (up to 3 schedules, 5 days/week each) — the bot generates and uploads a new video automatically on schedule. Each schedule card also shows a 🧠 Channel Brain panel: as videos get analyzed, it learns which content_format/tone retains best on that specific channel and biases future auto-generated videos toward it.
What's the difference between Content Calendar and Best Time to Post?
Content Calendar is a month-view of your actual upcoming Auto-Pilot uploads — what's scheduled to post, and when. Best Time to Post is a heatmap of when audiences are generally most active for a given niche/timezone — use it to decide what time slot to set your Auto-Pilot schedules to in the first place.
Can I run a schedule manually, without waiting for its next slot?
Yes — open the schedule on Auto-Pilot and click 🚀 Run Now. It runs the exact same pipeline as a scheduled tick (charges credits, uploads if auto-upload is on) and pushes the next scheduled run back accordingly.
How do I change my plan or payment details?
Go to Billing & Credits here in Channel Studio, or Pricing in the main app — both manage the same subscription.
Can I change the site's theme/appearance from here?
Yes — Settings → Appearance. Picking a theme there applies instantly across the main app, Channel Studio and Creator Tools alike.
